MINNESOTA (AP)- Minnesota state troopers say a 1 year old boy has been orphaned after
His parents died in an accident.
The collision Friday evening killed the boy's father, and mother when they slammed into the back of a semi-truck, while allegedly going over 100 miles per hour.
The boy was buckled in his car seat, and was apparently unhurt.
Witnesses told the Minnesota state patrol the car was speeding down interstate 694 before the collision.
Witnesses say they saw no attempt by the car's driver to stop before impact.
State Patrol spokesman Lt. Eric Roeske says the boy is being cared for by social services in Anoka County.
