Couple Arrested in Connection With Selling Meth

ITASCA COUNTY - A husband and wife of Grand Rapids are facing serious charges after Itasca County Sheriff's deputies said they found meth and weapons in their car.
It happened during a routine traffic stop Sunday.
The husband was in possession of 3.5 ounces of crystal meth with a street value of $15,000, as well as a semi-automatic handgun, rifle and $2,285 in cash, according to authorities.
He also had a digital scale and small plastic baggies, which authorities said indicate intent to sell.
He was charged with first degree sales of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of drugs.
He is currently in the Itasca County Jail.
His wife had their three children in the vehicle and was also in possession of meth, according to authorities.
She was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, child endangerment and third degree possession of a controlled substance.
She is also being held in the Itasca County Jail pending formal charges.
The two arrests are the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Itasca County Sheriff's Office over the past two months.
