SUPERIOR - If you live in Superior and haven't gotten around to shoveling your sidewalks yet, you could be looking at a hefty fine.
According to city ordinance, snow must be cleared from walkways 48 hours after a storm.
Because of the deep freeze after the storm, Superior residents and business owners are having a hard time shoveling out causing a safety issue for walkers.
“They need to clear a path that can be traversed by somebody on foot,” explained building inspector, Dan Curran. “That is safe and it's not a hazard, not a stumbling tripping or slipping hazard.”
Fines for snow removal by the city of Superior start at $175.
