DULUTH - Ten Northland women will be challenging themselves and their hearts for the next ten weeks.
The women were chosen from a pool of 77 applicants.
The goal is to improve their heart health and lose weight.
Tuesday night, they went to Super One for a grocery store tour with registered dieticians.
It's all part of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Makeover Challenge.
American Heart Association Spokesperson Jen Riemenschneider said, "We know women in a lot of homes, they plan the meals, they plan the activities, so we know when women are making heart healthy choices, their families are as well."
Heart disease is the number one killer of women.
They hope this challenge will help prevent a large number of those cases.
