DULUTH- While Duluth has many different cultures, Northland children were shown several different aspects of Finnish culture at the Nordic center Sunday.
They were encouraged to engage in traditional Finnish activities.
Organizer Kaitlin Erpstad said, "it's great for people to learn about the traditions through stories and song, baking, things that families can relate to and kids can relate to as a little bit different that their own, but still similar in many ways."
The Nordic center also has language classes, conversation groups, and movie nights that are centered around Nordic culture.
