Spirit Mountain Hosts Opening Ceremonies Party

DULUTH - If you couldn't get to Sochi for the opening ceremonies, Spirit Mountain was the next best place to be.
That's where dozens of Olympic fans gathered to cheer on team USA Friday night.
The event started with a torch run, where 30 skiers slid down the mountain, followed by a viewing party inside the new chalet.
"The Winter Olympics is such a special thing for us because everybody here has a passion for snow sports, and now we get to watch the whole world engage in that and experience the fun things that we get to take advantage of every day," said Brianna Johnson, marketing director at Spirit Mountain.
