Hermantown State of the City Address

HERMANTOWN - 2013 brought positive moves for Hermantown through business and residential growth.
Mayor Wayne Boucher gave his annual State of the City Address Thursday.
He highlighted many successes of the last year including implementing a sales tax, cleaning up after the 2012 flood, multiple new businesses to the community and of 156 building permits, $7 million worth was toward building new homes.
Boucher says the outlook for 2014 is just as positive.
"We've been getting a lot of inquiries from the right people in the development issue. Nothing we can name or put a name on, but people are asking all the right questions about development so I'm optimistic for the coming year," Boucher said.
Boucher said their main focus for redevelopment to revitilize the community will be Haines Road and Miller Trunk Highway.
