Christmas Market Opens in Superior

SUPERIOR - A new Christmas festival is bringing a little bit of Germany to Superior. The fifth annual Christkindlmarkt opened up at the Community Garden on the corner of Hammond Avenue and Broadway Saturday afternoon. Organizers say it's reminiscent of what you would see in Germany during this time of year. Local vendors are selling crafts, knick knacks, food and more."We don't have something at the north end here something like a festival outside,” Organizer Heike McDonald said. “I think it's a nice festival during the Christmas season." The market is open Sunday, December 8th 12 a.m. to 5 p.m. and next Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m..
