DNR Puts Record Antlers on Display

PRESS RELEASE

ST. PAUL - The world-record deer antlers seized by DNR officers in 2009 during a poaching investigation were put on display today for public viewing at the DNR headquarters in St. Paul.

The eight-point buck was taken illegally near Cannon Falls.

It is believed to be the highest scoring eight-point buck in Whitetail history.

In 2014, 1,642 Turn in Poacher (TIP) calls were referred to Minnesota DNR conservation officers with 356 arrests made.

Rewards paid totaled $6,175.

Anyone witnessing a fish or wildlife violation is encouraged to contact the 24-hour, toll-free TIP hotline at 800-652-9093. Cell phone users can dial #TIP.
