DULUTH - Crews are making progress on new apartments and emergency shelters that will help carry on the legacy of the late Steve O'Neil.
The $11 million project includes 44 units and six emergency shelter units.
Crews are putting the finishing touches on windows and are installing plumbing and electricity.
"I feel it's just great, because I see the families coming through CHUM shelter every day and I know that having this resource available as well as rapid rehousing rental assistants will really address family homelessness in Duluth," said Lee Stuart, executive director at CHUM.
Donations are still needed to help furnish the apartments.
A grand opening is set for the end of December.
