Duluth Sees Construction Boom
By:

DULUTH - If you're driving through Duluth, it's almost impossible not to pass by a construction site.
With developments like the Maurices Tower and Kwik Trip, construction is booming in Duluth.
Contractors are also able to work on residential projects that were put on hold because of the harsh winter.
The best part is all of the work is creating hundreds of jobs.
"Last summer you didn't see anything happening,” said Jim Perrault, owner of Jim Perrault Construction. “You didn't see convenient stores going up, you didn't see restaurants being built, you didn't see that this year. You’re seeing quite a bit of it, so it's a much better time to be in the business than it was last year."
If you're interested in starting a career in construction, there's a job fair August 6 in the Duluth's Community Action building from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
