Duluth Unveils First Ever 'Parklettes' Downtown

DULUTH - You can now experience a new outdoor space in downtown Duluth.

The city unveiled it's first-ever 'parklette' on West Superior Street near First Avenue West.

It's basically an extension of the sidewalk meant to give people a sense of community.

"A really neat project for our downtown encouraging that life on the street supporting local business so you can grab your cup of coffee from Jitters so you can be a part of a vibrant urban setting," said Duluth Mayor Don Ness.

There's also a bike rack, local artwork, and a little more greenery.
