DULUTH - When you see these special planes fly overhead, you know you're in for a treat.
The Air Force Thunderbirds made their way to the 148th Fighter Wing to prepare for a fly over at Tuesdays All-Star baseball game in Minneapolis.
The Thunderbirds normally do airshows so a fly by is rare, but they're excited to be part of the American sport.
It'll only take them about 15 minutes to fly down to Minneapolis and the fly over will be at the end of the National Anthem.
"There's actually 120 people on this team and we all work to represent almost 700,000 people who serve in the Air Force. So, it's a really great, humbling opportunity. A lot of teamwork goes into what we do and it's a great metaphor for what the Air Force does every day," said Major Caroline Jensen, a Thunderbird pilot.
Jensen tells us she saw the Thunderbirds fly when she was young and the planes are an inspiration to many.
In fact, she said 70 percent of people who join the Air Force say the Thunderbirds helped them make their decision.
"I was a little kid down in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, I saw the Thunderbirds fly and it sparked a dream within me that I wanted to be a fighter pilot and here I am," said Jensen.
The Thunderbirds will be in Duluth for three days and will be traveling to Cheyenne, Wyoming next.
