Huskies Team Up to Strike Out Hunger

DULUTH- Second Harvest teamed up with the Huskies tonight to strike out hunger and help feed kids in need.
Sunday at Wade stadium, Second harvest hoped to raise awareness for their program and educate people about the needs in the Twin Ports.
Second Harvest executive director, Shaye Morris said, "childhood hunger, people maybe don't think about it as often in the summer months, but it's a time when kids are out of school. We know in the Northland 1 in 5 children suffers from hunger so this is a really important event to talk about that."
Second Harvest feeds children in need on the weekends by providing back packs filled with easy to prepare foods they can take home.
