PROCTOR - A local contest proved dogs and cats aren't the only animals that can get all dolled up.
The 4-H Horse Show at the South St. Louis County Fair held a costume contest for horses and riders got pretty creative.
A honey bee, Statute of Liberty and Marilyn Monroe were just a few costumes featured on horses.
"My mom looked it up online she looked it up online cute costumes and a horse came up with a bunch of flowers and a little bumblebee came up and we just kind of improvised and did our things," said Addrieanna Kilby, a participant in the contest.
FOX 21's Dan Hanger was there to help judge the show.
Contest winners took home gift cards and other goodies.
