SUPERIOR - If you're looking to get a cheap bike, you've got your chance this week at the Superior Police Lost and Stolen Bike Auction.

Instead of a live auction all bikes will be posted to BidSuperior.com where bidders can see pictures and a description of each bike up for sale, and then bid to win them.

Every year, dozens of bikes are left on city streets, and police end up picking them up.

This year there are 70-90 bikes up for auction.

"Typically they're bikes people have called in and said have been found or abandoned in their yard or on the street," said Superior’s Deputy Chief, Nick Alexander.

If you reported a bike as lost or stolen and believe the department may have it, you can view the bikes prior to the sale by making an appointment with the department.

The auction kicks off July 9 with bidding allowed through July 16 at 7 p.m.

All money made will go to the Old Firehouse and Police Museum.
