DULUTH – Americans celebrated National Chocolate Day Monday.
The Duluth Public Library honored the holiday with chocolatier Heidi Ash, owner of 185Chocolat.
Ash hosted the event where she talked about the history and current trends in the chocolate world, along with her passions in the kitchen.
"I love the creative process of it. I love looking for an example of a cookie and thinking, 'how can I make that into a filling for a truffle?' and going into the kitchen and making it happen," she said.
Ash started her business after having a heart transplant in 2000, and wanted to give back to the Transplant Endowment Fund.
