Duluth Man Pleads Guilty to Stabbing Superior Cab Driver

SUPERIOR - A Duluth man has pleaded guilty and gotten his sentence for stabbing a cab driver in Superior.
Twenty-one year old Antonio Newman will have to serve eight years in prison and 12 years of supervised probation for his crime.

After four years he'll be eligible for challenge incarceration and substance abuse programs.

A Courtesy Cab driver picked up him up in February and just before drop off in Billings Park Newman pulled out a knife and stabbed the driver while demanding money.

Two other charges were dismissed and Newman is also ordered to have no contact with the cab driver, stay off Custom Cab's premises and away from their staff.
