CLOQUET- In a bitter sweet celebration, the city of Cloquet is saying goodbye to one of its long time leaders.
Chief Wade Lamirande says he's been very proud to serve his city and play a role in efforts to make Cloquet a better place to live.
Chief Wade Lamirande said, "I've spent 24 years in the city that I grew up in, which has been really special to me to give back to the citizens, teachers, and family and friends that supported me as a kid growing up. It's been really a special time for me to be able, and an honor to be the chief of police in my own hometown."
His next step will be teaching in the law enforcement program at Fond Du Lac college.
