Spring Pow Wow Celebrates Rebirth
By:

SUPERIOR- Dozens of people celebrated life the ending of winter and the re-awakening of spring at the Wessman Arena today.
Drummers, dancers, friends and family were invited out to connect with each other, take part in a massive feast, and to pay respects to a colleague that recently passed away.
First Nation's Center director, Gary Johnson said, "well this is a celebration of life. That circle out there represents the circle of life and that drum is the heart beat of our nation. And it's calling people to join in that celebration of life. Once that drum starts, you'll feel it, and it draws you out there to that circle."
Johnson says the best part of the pow wow is all the hugging and laughing and that it is open to everyone.
This is the 25th year the circle of nations has celebrated Indian education.
