Dodge Ball Tournament To Support Special Olympics
By:
SUPERIOR- Folks took to the sand to play dodge ball this afternoon to help the Superior high school Special Olympics team.
The tournament cost $20 dollars to enter and all the funds go to help cover travel costs, meals and lodging for students with special needs.
Organizer, Mark Johnson said, "some of the Special Olympic athletes that we have at the high school don't have the funds or the proceeds to cover some of the travel costs that are associated with the events that we hold in Eau Claire and down in Madison for the state games so this will be something so that we can help supplement those athletes."
There will be several other fundraisers coming up in the near future; a volleyball tournament and their annual TJ Champions fundraiser coming up in mid May.
