Northlanders Prep for Spring in Hopes That it will Come Soon

DULUTH - Some more winter weather may be around the corner, but that isn't stopping Duluthians from getting prepared for Spring weather.

Over the last two weeks Ace Hardware has seen a jump in sales regarding their Spring-time items like seed starter kits and potting soil.

The shovels and salt are still available at the store, but are being put in the back because of all the Northlanders prepping for Spring.

"A lot of people are doing indoor painting, planting, working on a lot of their indoor projects preparing for when Spring does come, then they can go outside and do those projects," said assistant manager Aaron Gursky.

Workers at Ace Hardware say to keep your Spring hopes high, you can get your garden started inside by potting your plants before moving them outdoors.
