DULUTH - A key piece of funding for a plan to bring new life to Lincoln Park’s Seaway Hotel has been approved.
The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has signed off on a $1 million plan for capital improvements and an additional $500,000 for on-site services at the apartment complex.
The funding gives Duluth’s Housing Redevelopment Authority the go-ahead to buy the building.
The agency's plan is to then hire a management company that specializes in working with people with criminal backgrounds and mental health issues.
The sale is expected to close by the end of April.
