DULUTH - As part of St. Scholastica’s Community Day, nearly 400 students assembled and delivered 3,000 Thanksgiving in the Spring community dinners.
Homebound residents and various agencies received a turkey with all the fixings.
"It's encouraging and you feel good about yourself when you help others,” St. Scholastica student James Holmquist said. “Know that you're making a difference in someone's life even if it's just a meal it can be important to them."
Students delivered double the amount of meals this year than last time around.
