Residents in Superior are Still Digging Out After Storm

SUPERIOR - The whopper of a snowstorm is over but digging out of it seems like a never ending process.

It's been four days since the Northland got pounded but residents have not been able to put their shovels away.

Some of them tell FOX 21 since the storm they've had to keep opening up their walkways after the streets are plowed and that the snow is so hard and compacted they can't shovel it up all at once.

"Its slow, very slow progress,” said Mary Remington of Superior. ”It’s hard work, bad for your back."

When shoveling health experts recommend bending at yours knees, and pushing snow instead of lifting or throwing it forward.
