DULUTH - The Duluth Transit Authority was shut down for a few hours overnight into Friday because of road conditions.
During storms the buses work closely with the city to see which routes are plowed.
“We don't like to not run bus services so if we think we can we will,” explained Duluth Transit Authority’s general manager, Dennis Jensen. “We always have to do it with an eye towards safety.”
Because the snow piles are so big, the DTA is now asking riders to wait for their bus at the nearest intersection and wave if they need to be picked up instead of standing at their usual stop.
