DULUTH - For some locals, driving Friday morning just wasn't an option because of the massive snowstorm.
One Northlander swapped her car for her skis.
Jane Haugejorde needed to get downtown for a doctor's appointment.
The snow was up to her knees in her driveway and she couldn't get her car out, so she got creative.
"This is awesome. I'm supposed to be teaching in Cloquet today and they cancelled school. So yay! I get to ski, I get to do some errands, and it's beautiful. You can't beat the snow," Haugejorde said.
She traveled more than two miles on her skis to get to her appointment.
