SUPERIOR - The phones at flower shops and restaurants have been ringing off the hook.

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, last minute gifts and reservations are a given.

Engwall Florist in Superior has four times as many people working this week than they usually do.

Phone calls started coming in about a month ago about everything from rose colors to special orders of orchids.

They even have stuffed animals and chocolate to top off your gift.

Anna Krueger with Engwall said, "We are so busy this week, which is a very good thing for all of us. We are excited about getting everybody's floral arrangement ready for Valentine, and trying to make someone's life a little special."

Business is also picking up at Barker's Island.

The restaurant is filling up and the focus is on a seafood-themed Valentine's Day.

Charlie Johnson with Barker's Island said, "We've got crab cakes, crab stuffed shrimp, as well as steak and shrimp, and prime rib which is another popular item for us."

Friday is already a busy night for the restaurant, so it's doubling up on staff to keep up with all the sweethearts.
