DULUTH - The Native American community is working to create a better relationship between minorities and the Duluth Police Department.
They're hoping to shed some light on the thought of unreasonable behavior toward people of color.
They will collect opinions at monthly forums to keep pushing toward a positive relationship.
The Native Alliance mainly wants to set a footing for their future children.
Rennee Vannett with Native Alliance Duluth said, "Why now? I think it's time, it's time to address this stuff. People don't want to address it, it's tough, it's difficult, but it needs to."
The first forum kicked off Monday night and the alliance plans to have one every month.
