Northlanders in Sochi

SOCHI- The Olympics are underway and many Northland athletes are duking it out in Sochi.

Anna Ringsred placed 26th in the 3000 meter speed skating event.
She posted on her twitter:

"Not the race I had hoped for, but I fought to the end. Thank you for all the support."

UMD women's hockey star,
Lara Stalder and St. Scholastica's
Nina Waidacher will be representing Switzerland tomorrow morning, and UMD's Tea Villia will be representing Finland tomorrow

Also four Northland men will have their first chance to get closer to an Olympic medal tomorrow morning.
The USA men's curling team will compete against Norway in the first round robin.
