Lighthouse Screens Acclaimed Documentary for Community Professionals

DULUTH - Lighthouse hosted a movie screening to help Northland professionals become more aware of the ramifications of vision loss.

Lighthouse is showing the film because they say vision loss is increasing and many people don't know how to get help.

They say it is a major public health issue.

Organizer Mary Junnila said, "they say only about 5% of people who have vision loss are accessing vision rehabilitation services."

Lighthouse also said only one in three people with vision loss are working, but that it wouldn't have to be that way if they could access more services available to them.
