Duluth Police Identify Homicide Victim

DULUTH, Minn. - Duluth Police have identified the man killed during an assault this weekend that left him with a head injury.

They say 33 year old Matthew Walker of Duluth was killed on Saturday, at 6:21 a.m. near 2nd Avenue West and 3rd Street.

Gold Cross Ambulance and Duluth Fire personnel were on scene when officers were informed of Walker's death.

Police determined Walker had been assaulted by 53 year old, James Strappe.

Strappe and the victim were acquainted with each other.

He is being held for 2nd Degree Unintentional Homicide at the St. Louis County Jail.
