NAACP: Duluth Branch Election Results Voided

DULUTH, Minn. - Duluth's branch of the NAACP has been forced to throw out November's election results and hold a new election Saturday.Top officials with the African-American civil rights organization told FOX 21 Friday that Classie Dudley, 22, was never eligible to be on the ballot for president of the Duluth branch.They say she wasn't a member long enough.Dudley beat out longtime president Claudie Washington in that now voided election.But Friday night, Dudley still thought otherwise."I will put that to rest by saying the Duluth branch, our membership, recognizes the November 30th 2014 election as stands," Dudley said.The NAACP president of Minnesota told FOX 21 Friday that the new election at the Hillside Community Center is official and mandated by the national NAACP.
