DULUTH, Minn. - The public has a chance to weigh in on a proposed pipeline in Duluth Tuesday afternoon. The Enbridge pipeline would increase the amount of oil flowing across Minnesota by 225,000 barrels a day.Half of the 612 mile pipeline would run through Minnesota. Some are concerned about potential oil spills and moving the oil to market will contribute to climate change. "If every drop of oil makes it to market it's going to be burned and it's going to become carbon and atmosphere.  So, even if they don't spill a single drop, it's a huge problem for the entire world which includes Minnesota," said Jesse Peterson, co-organizer of the pipeline rally. There will be a rally against the pipeline before the public hearing. The rally will begin at 12:30 p.m. at Minnesota Power Plaza (corner of Lake and Superior). The march to the hearing will leave between 1-1:10 p.m.The hearing will take place at the downtown Holiday Inn- Ballroom located at 200 West 1st St. in Duluth at 2 p.m.
