DULUTH, Minn. - One of the main concerns with the cold weather is frostbite.With a windchill of 35-45 below, there's an increased risk and it can happen in less than 10 minutes. "People used to say there is no such thing as bad weather, but bad clothes and I think that's very true here in Minnesota. You have to have good wool clothes and make sure you remove the wet clothing as soon as possible," said St. Luke's Emergency Physician, Dr. Christopher Delp.Symptoms include a loss of feeling and a white or pale appearance. If you see these signs, get medical care immediately.The most common area for frostbite is on the nose, cheeks and ears.Last year, Minnesota had a record number of frostbite cases.
