DULUTH- Don't worry about finding a ride home when ringing in the New Year because the Duluth Transit Authority has got you covered -- for free. The DTA is teaming up with Miller Lite and FOX 21 to provide free rides during the New Year's festivities. With 1 in 7 Minnesotans holding the title of DWI, law enforcement agencies are hoping the community drives safely and utilizes the service.Sgt. Ryan Morris from the Duluth Police Department said, "If you choose not to use this service, we want you to still make wise choices. Plan your sober ride before you drink, find a designated driver and take a cab. I've said it before, but crash on a friend's couch so you don't crash in the road."The service begins at 5 p.m. New Year's Eve with the last trip at 2:20 a.m. New Year's Day.
