DULUTH, Minn. - A candlelight vigil and bell ringing were part of a memorial event for students and teachers killed during the Sandy Hook shootings.
It was held inside Peace United Church of Christ in Duluth Thursday.
People also remembered victims of other school shootings and called for their neighbors to support stronger gun legislation."On a personal level, every individual should take responsibility for seeing to it that any weapons they have are properly stored,” said Charles Gessert, with Protect Minnesota. “They're stored unloaded, they're stored in a secure place, they're stored where children can't get at them."Sunday marks the two year anniversary of the shootings. There have been 21 school shootings since Sandy Hook, according to Protect Minnesota.
