DULUTH, Minn. - The Duluth Playhouse is making history with its 100th birthday.The Playhouse has always had the mission to educate, entertain, and involve the region.The theatre has had more than 1,000 productions and with a century of the theatre on Duluth grounds, it shows strength, purpose, and speaks highly of the value of the community of Duluth.In honor of all it has accomplished, Mayor Don Ness has proclaimed Nov. 17 Duluth Playhouse Day and Playhouse employees were thrilled about it."So excited, we have been talking about this day for us as employees and staff. I mean, this is hugely significant for us, but again this resonates far beyond the walls of the playhouse," said artistic director Kate Horvath.The Playhouse celebrated its birthday Monday at noon.
