DULUTH, Minn. - The Minnesota Department of Human Rights is looking to the public for advice on how the state's ethnic councils can better serve communities.Educators, students and neighbors were invited to Duluth City Hall to brainstorm ideas Wednesday. The city's Human Rights Officer, Bob Grytdahl, said he wants to communicate the importance of minorities being able to contribute to government decision making."They say, 'We want the same thing as you, we want to fully participate in all aspects of life and what we want is our voice at the table,'" said Grytdahl.Grytdahl said he would also like to find solutions to low graduation rates and high unemployment and poverty among local minorities.
