SUPERIOR, Wis. - It's that time of year to get out on your ladders and start decorating your home with Christmas lights.
From now until Dec. 1, the Superior-Douglas County Chamber is taking entries for its annual Holiday Decorating and Lighting Contest.
This year, the Chamber has decided to add a business category so store owners also have a chance to show off their Christmas spirit."It doesn't have to be real elegant because of the different categories,” said Chamber ambassador, Denese Odermann. “It can be as small or as large of a lighting display or decorations as you want."
Gift Certificates will be awarded for six categories including ambassadors’ choice, best use of lights, spirit award, masters division, country choice, and business.
For every entry, the Chamber will donate $5 to the Boys and Girls Club.
It’s free to enter and awards will be handed out Dec. 18.
To enter, call the Superior Chamber at 715-394-7716 or click here.
