UWS Honors Veterans, Dedicates Service Wall

SUPERIOR, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior hosted Veteran's Day celebrations Tuesday. They included guest speakers, a luncheon, a moment of silence, and reading the names of every fallen service member from Wisconsin and Minnesota since 9/11. The school also dedicated the Excellence in Service Wall to UWS graduate and WWI veteran Henry Bloomberg. U.S. Air Force veteran Bradley Roy was one of the recipients of the award."It shows that somebody sees the work that I do and the work that I continue to do through the day, even though I may not even realize that anyone even notices," said Roy, VA lead at the Veterans Non-Traditional Student Center at UWS.Other Excellence in Service Award recipients included:Jessica Boettcher – Captain, USAFJoe Eickman – Sergeant, USMCMike Leon – Master Sergeant, USAFChase Parask – Master Seargeant, USAFMichael Skinner – Senior Chief Petty Officer, USNRonald Wilson – Colonel, USAF
