Twin Ports Bridges Closed During Inspections

DULUTH - If you plan on traveling across the Oliver and Blatnik Bridges starting Monday you'll need to find another route.
The Oliver Bridge will be closed for scheduled inspections during business hours until Nov. 7.
If you’re heading to Duluth from Wisconsin on the Blatnik Bridge the right lane will be closed until Friday for a routine inspection from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The following ramps will close and be detoured on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Detour routes will be signed.
The ramp from northbound I-535 to southbound I-35.
The ramp from northbound I-535 to northbound 53.
All lanes will be open for the morning and evening peak travel times.
Drivers are asked to be patient and drive carefully near the work zone areas.
The southbound/Superior bound lanes will remain open.
The Blatnik Bridge undergoes a comprehensive inspection every two years to help ensure the bridge remains a reliable and safe freight movement and transportation route.
