Local Officers and First Responders Honored

DULUTH - The Elks Lodge of Superior honored officers and emergency responders. Sgt. James Madden, Captain Lindzi Campbell and paramedic Tom Spang all received the Enrique Camarena award for going the extra mile on their jobs.

"I think we don't do enough for our local firefighters, for police people or our paramedics,” Elks Lodge Leading Night Christine Crum said. “I think it's a good thing for the Elks to do and it's a good thing for any fraternal organization to do."

Award recipients were nominated by their leaders and peers.
