Duluth- An annual food drive at local grocery stores kicked off on
Saturday, October 25th.
It's called “Scouting for Food” which is sponsored by CHUM and
the Boy Scouts of America.
Scouts handed out a list of items as people entered the
grocery store giving them the opportunity to purchase items off the list to donate
to local food shelves.
Volunteers say it's a great way to give back to the
community.
Volunteer, Boissey Johnson, says, “This is one way to show
that I am blessed and at this moment in time I don't need CHUM to supply food
for me and my family. But, plenty of people do and you never know when you are
going to be the one down and out and need the service of CHUM.”
If you missed the food drive and would still like to donate,
you may drop food off at CHUM which is located downtown Duluth.
