DULUTH - A task force recently organized by Gov. Mark Dayton is making its rounds throughout Minnesota with a focus on child protection. The group met with social service workers and community members in Duluth Wednesday. The goal is to get feedback on their experiences and thoughts about better protecting children. The task force will then make a recommendation on improvements to the 2015 legislature."That needs to happen within the context of families who need to be supported in a community that provide resources and assistance to help families repair, do well and do better for their children," said Toni Carter, Ramsey County commissioner. The task force will meet once a month through the end of March before making a final recommendation.
