DULUTH - The 8th annual Duluth Harvest Run kicked off with more than 600 people walking and running to raise money for pediatric programs at Essentia Health. This year organizers are hoping to raise $15,000 dollars for the Eric Peter Person Children’s Cancer Fund to help families pay for expenses not covered by insurance.
"It's tremendous,” Duluth Harvest Run Executive Director Mike Beery said. “My wife's a pediatrician at Essentia, Nancy Beery, and her goal was to have a family friendly event and I think that's what we have here."
Donations to the Eric Peter Person Children’s Cancer Fund can be made through the Essentia Health Foundation until the end of this month.
