ATV Accident Sends 2 Locals to the Hospital

PRESS RELEASE - The St Louis County Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATV accident which occurred near the intersection of the Nygaard Rd and the Pirtala Rd in Toivola Township during the early morning hours of Saturday, October 11th. The driver of the ATV, 31 year-old Johan Valppu of Duluth, and 31 year-old Thomas Allen, also of Duluth, were transported by ambulance to Essentia Health St Mary's in Duluth with minor injuries.

Investigation indicates their ATV left the road and crashed into a ditch.
