6th Annual Building Green Conference Kicks Off in Duluth

DULUTH - Local companies got the chance to showcase their sustainability in Duluth Thursday.It was all part of the 6th Annual Building Green Conference. Company leaders not only showed off their knowledge, they got tips from other businesses on how to make infrastructure more sustainable and energy efficient. The big push this year is to construct buildings with healthier materials to decrease respiratory problems."So, the green building industry is really taking that on and has tried to find new products and new techniques to design the inside of a structure to be able to have healthy indoor air quality," said Stephen Burk, with the MN U.S. Green Council. Speakers also highlighted buildings that generate all the energy they use as well as insulation and construction techniques.
