Youth Advocates' Work Recognized

DULUTH - Local youth advocates were celebrated and honored at Woodland Hills' 14th Annual Beringer Guiding Light Awards.

Five different people and organizations were nominated and then recognized for their efforts to provide volunteer hours and work that bring hope and opportunities to young people.

"We believe that it only takes one individual, one adult, to have a caring presence in the life of a child,” Woodland Hills Agency Relations director Cindy Finch said. “Today we're recognizing individuals and organizations that have made a difference in the life of children."

Woodland Hills offers mental health and behavior treatment programs for marginalized youth.
