LSC Hosts Walk to Fund Scholarships

DULUTH- Lake Superior College hosted their "Thrill on the Hill," Saturday.

The event was a family oriented walk, helping to raise money for scholarships for students.

Students say they appreciate the walk because it makes them feel like people are in their corner.

Executive director of the Lake Superior College, Kim Parmeter said, "seventy percent of our students at LSC receive some type of financial aid and while LSC is one of the most affordable colleges in Minnesota there's still a great need to support our students."

There are over 50 different scholarships.

Last year Lake Superior College foundation gave away over two hundred thousand dollars in scholarships and grants.
